🎶 Celebrating 25 Years of Music on Park Avenue with Per Tengstrand

The Murray Hill community is invited to celebrate a remarkable milestone — the 25th anniversary of Music on Park Avenue, the acclaimed concert series curated by renowned Swedish pianist Per Tengstrand. Since its debut in 2000, this beloved program has been an integral part of Scandinavia House’s cultural offerings, bringing world-class chamber music to the heart of Murray Hill.

In honor of Scandinavia House’s silver anniversary, Tengstrand will launch a special season of performances that will continue into 2026, featuring distinguished guest artists and works that span the rich history of the series. The opening concert on October 30 will feature Tengstrand joined by violinist Hana Mundiya and cellist Robin Park, performing a program that includes both timeless classics and hidden gems from Music on Park Avenue’s repertoire. Adding to the evening’s significance, the performances will take place on Victor Borge’s personal Steinway piano, generously loaned by his grandson, Finn Borge — a fitting tribute to Scandinavia House’s enduring legacy of art, music, and community. As Murray Hill continues to celebrate its cultural vibrancy, this anniversary concert reminds us of the lasting impact that music has in bringing neighbors and generations together.
