Do You Know What’s Planned for 34th Street? Sign up for Updates and Community Actions

The Department of Transportation, The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, our elected officials, and our community board are pushing a 34th Street Busway without meaningful consultation with local residents—ignoring the very communities who will be the most permanently affected (what is a busway?).

We’re concerned about congestion, safety, quality of life, and displaced traffic from the FDR, Midtown & Lincoln Tunnels, and West Side Highway. We haven’t seen any data, traffic modeling, or plan to manage the impact.

We’re not against progress — we’re for smarter solutions and better decision making.
NYC needs innovation that improves traffic flow for everyone — residents, businesses, pedestrians, and transit riders alike — not for one and none for all the rest.

It’s time to act:

I believe the 34th Street Busway will be detrimental to the Murray Hill Neighborhood, and there hasn’t been research to implement the proposal.
