A Clean Sweep For Back-to-School

Families and neighbors came together this weekend for our Back-to-School Neighborhood Youth Cleanup, starting the morning at Wee Ones Club.

After our youngest volunteers got some practice with the trash pickers, everyone headed out into the neighborhood to clean up sidewalks, tree beds, and the Park Avenue Malls.

The kids took their jobs very seriously and found all kinds of interesting things along the way! By the end of the morning, bags were full, blocks were cleaner, and our tree beds were looking much better.

Thank you to all of the families and neighbors who showed up and pitched in. It was wonderful to see neighbors of all ages working side by side to care for our community, while showing our youngest volunteers that they can make a difference where they live. We loved spending the morning together and leaving Murray Hill a little cleaner than we found it!

See you at our next Green & Clean event: City of Forest Day in Murray Hill on October 3!
