Our Tribute to Michel Bassompierre in Bloom on Park Avenue

This week, the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association paid tribute to the extraordinary work of Michel Bassompierre, who passed away last week, by placing flowers at each of the nine animal sculptures that have graced Park Avenue over the past year.

As their time in Murray Hill comes to a close this Saturday, May 2, this tribute felt especially meaningful, a way to honor not only the end of an installation, but the lasting impression it leaves behind.

We are deeply grateful to Michel Bassompierre and Galeries Bartoux for sharing his vision with our neighborhood. His work reminds us of the quiet strength and beauty of the natural world, and of the importance of protecting it.
