Fred Astaire Dance Studios are proud to offer the best of Ballroom and Latin Dance instruction in New York City for more than 65 years. From Private Lessons to Social Dance Parties and Events, to customized Wedding Dance Programs, they set the standard of excellence in American and International styles of dancing by giving new and advanced students confidence, a sense of rhythm, and a LOVE for dance!

Private Lessons:

Can be scheduled anytime between the hours of 1:30pm and 10:30pm Monday through Friday. On your private lesson your instructor will introduce new concepts of dancing one on one or as a couple. Private Dance Lessons allow you to move at your own pace without the pressure of a group, and develop a much deeper understanding of movement in a fraction of the time. On your Private Dance Lesson you can learn how each dance is supposed to feel through your teacher’s guidance.

Practice Parties:

Allow you to practice for the big game! The atmosphere at the Party is similar to when you go out to use your dancing. Whether you’re dancing at a wedding reception, at a salsa club, a black tie gala, or specifically at a ballroom dancing event you will need to know how to navigate the floor. The party gives the perfect opportunity for you to…

- Practice your moves with different people (leading and following).

- Practice dancing with other people on the floor (floor craft i.e.. navigation).

- Socialize with other people (builds confidence and community).

- Practice putting steps together consecutively to a whole song (blending and ad libbing).
