MECA

Manhattan East Community Association (MECA) finds solutions and gets positive results through grassroots engagement.

Founded in 1990 in Murray Hill, the all-volunteer non-profit organization has helped improve Midtown East communities and other neighborhoods on Manhattan’s east side.

An affiliate of St. Vartan Park Conservancy with several other community partners, MECA manages community programs including Swish You Were Here and serves as a community advocacy leader. Some of MECA’s advocacy work is implemented in cooperation with St. Vartan Park Conservancy. MECA is led by president Kevin O’Keefe.
