Everything at Ostrica is sourced locally and purchased fresh - delivered to you out of the net, off the boat and onto your plate. All of the accompaniments, sauces, and broths are made from scratch. With an ever rotating list of oysters, dishes of lobster, crab, shrimp, crudos, and ceviche, they also have a full menu of sandwiches, toasts, salads, charcuterie, and local, greenmarket vegetables. They have a curated list of cocktails, wines and beers. Ostrica prides themselves on having something for everyone - every taste bud at every budget.

They believe that the bar or restaurant is the living room of New York City. It's where we all come together to eat, drink, be merry, and build a sense of community. Ostrica is a small business - a true mom and pop shop. They may be small but they are mighty, and they will always remember your name. The vibe is upscale casual.

Ostrica is owned and operated by Kristen and Mike Vassallo. Living in Kips Bay themselves, Kristen and Mike are excited to contribute to the neighborhood and can’t wait to welcome you.
