Equiteq Gives Back to Murray Hill
At the beginning of August, an enthusiastic group of interns from Equiteq stepped away from the office to spend part of their day giving back to Murray Hill.
Working alongside the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association’s Green & Clean efforts, the Equiteq team wasted no time getting to work. They picked up litter throughout the neighborhood, weeded and cared for tree beds, aerated compacted soil, and gave the Park Avenue Malls some much-needed extra attention.
They also took on a special project for one of our neighborhood’s youngest residents. The interns cleaned, prepped, and painted the tree guards outside Wee Ones Club Preschool, giving them a fresh coat of paint just in time for the start of the new school year.
What impressed us most was the energy the Equiteq interns brought to everything they did. They covered a lot of ground, weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, and genuinely wanted to make a difference. Neighbors even stopped by throughout the day to thank them for their hard work.
A special thank you to Christine Laygo, who helped organize the volunteer day with us and then jumped right in alongside the interns. We’re so grateful for her partnership and for helping make the day such a success.
Community partnerships like this are an important part of keeping Murray Hill clean, green, and cared for. We are incredibly grateful to Equiteq and its NYC interns for choosing to spend their Community Service Day with us and for putting so much energy and care into our neighborhood.
Thank you, Equiteq, for being such wonderful neighbors and for helping us Do Good in the Hood!
