In New York State, you must be registered with a party to vote in that party’s Primary Election.

If you request a mail-in ballot, you will not be able to vote at a poll site voting booth. You may vote by affidavit.

The Primary Election will use ranked-choice voting on the ballot. Learn about the candidates and read the rules carefully before filling out your ballot. Be very careful when filling out the ballot – you cannot make corrections if you make a mistake; a replacement ballot must be requested.
