Michel Bassompierre’s Monumental Sculptures Debut Ahead of Park Avenue Day 2025
World-renowned French sculptor Michel Bassompierre’s stunning sculptures have officially been installed along Park Avenue, bringing a powerful presence of artistry and environmental reflection to one of New York City’s most iconic boulevards.
This public art debut is a highlight of Park Avenue Day 2025, set for Saturday, May 17, where visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist in person and enjoy a sneak peek of the sculptures up close. Known for his striking depictions of endangered animals, Bassompierre’s work invites viewers to appreciate the beauty and fragility of wildlife—this time, right in the heart of Manhattan.
Presented in partnership with Patrons of Park Avenue, Galeries Bartoux, and City of New York Parks Department, the installation is part of an ongoing effort to bring world-class art into public spaces while fostering cultural engagement and community pride.
Join us on Park Avenue Day 2025 to celebrate this powerful art debut with 150+ booths of art, fashion, food, entertainment, and more between 34th and 40th Streets.
