Murray Hill Neighborhood Association Lights Up ⭐ the 2024 Holiday Season!
On Friday, December 6th, The Murray Hill Neighborhood Association proudly celebrated the start of the 2024 holiday season with our cherished annual tree lighting and holiday party, a tradition that dates back to 1882. This event honored the historic innovation of electricity in NYC while bringing neighbors together to share in the joy of the season.
Over 250 attendees joined us, including neighbors, community leaders, elected officials, and members of NYPD’s 17th Precinct, making it a truly festive gathering. The evening sparkled with incredible performances by the Big Apple Chorus and Sal Sinatra, filling the air with holiday cheer. Guests enjoyed an array of delicious food and drinks provided by Villa Berulia, El Parador Café, Wagamama, and fine wines from Sussex Wines & Spirits.
The Church of Our Saviour hosted the community, adorned in holiday splendor, and we had a special visit from Santa Claus himself, played by the talented Eric Kuzmuk, much to the delight of attendees young and old. The event was beautifully captured through the lens of photographer Blaine Pennington, whose photos will keep the memories alive for years to come. In a few weeks, we are also thrilled to collaborate with the Metropolitan Synagogue and Chabad of Midtown for Hanukkah.
Thank you to everyone who made this evening so special. Here’s to a bright and joyful holiday season in Murray Hill! 🌟🎄🕎
