Pershing Square Plaza East Ribbon Cutting

On May 29, Grand Central Partnership joined the NYC Department of Transportation, the Department of Design and Construction, and local elected officials in celebrating the opening of Pershing Square Plaza East with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The opening of the plaza on the east side of Pershing Square marks the full realization of the vision set forth in the 1987 master plan, which imagined a verdant “parklike setting” on both sides of the Park Avenue Viaduct across 42nd Street from Grand Central Terminal’s iconic facade.
With the warmer weather now upon us, now is the perfect time to get out and enjoy our neighborhood’s newest public space. See you in the plaza!
