The Soloviev Foundation Launches “Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US” Honoring America’s 250th Anniversary
The Soloviev Foundation held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 8 for Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US, a new public art installation opening May 15 along First Avenue between 38th and 41st Streets in Manhattan. The six-acre exhibit presents personal narratives of WWII veterans and contemporary figures through large-scale visual storytelling and interactive displays focused on the themes of liberty and equality.

The event included remarks from Stefan Soloviev, Principal of The Soloviev Foundation and Chairman of the Soloviev Group, and Michael Hershman, CEO of Soloviev Group.

Grammy-winning artist Lenny Kravitz also participated, reflecting on his role as a judge for the Foundation’s Future Generations Essay Contest.

Two 10th-grade students, Janet C. of Queens and Jonathan D. of Brooklyn, were recognized as essay contest winners. Their writing explored how the idea of liberty continues to shape the American experience, referencing family stories tied to immigration and citizenship.

“The installation reflects the diverse perspectives that make up the American narrative,” said Stefan Soloviev. “It highlights voices across generations that contribute to our evolving national story.”

Michael Hershman added, “Path of Liberty is intended to create space for ongoing dialogue. It invites people to reflect on shared values and lived experiences.”

Several individuals featured in the portraits and recordings attended the launch, aligning with the project’s goal of highlighting personal stories behind national ideals.

Designed by creative studio C&G Partners and directed by filmmaker Daniella Vale, the installation also includes a historical short film produced by Donna Lawrence Productions in collaboration with the Museum of the American Revolution. The exhibit will be open to the public, free of charge, Thursdays through Saturdays from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with reservations at pathoflibertynyc.com. The exhibit is also visible from the perimeter Sunday through Wednesday.
